IN PHOTOS: District Women and Children Concern Section (DWCCS) headed by PLT LOIDA STA. MARIA, and PCMS Jona R Madrazo, DWCCS personnel, together with OIC/Chief SWCCS of PS-2, PS4, PS5, PS6, PS-8, PS12, PS13, PS14, and PS15 attended the 2-Day Seminar on Establishment of Mechanism Against Child-Trafficking. Additionally, PLT STA MARIA is the resource speaker on the topic of Updates on Human Trafficking in Quezon City. The activity was participated in by the Barangay Council for the Protection of the Children (BCPC) Focal Persons, representatives of Civil Society Organizations (CSOs) from the urban poor, Solo Parents, and Religious/Faith-Based Sectors, Student Leaders, Parent-Teacher Associations of the Philippines, and Women’s Desk Officers of the QCPD.
The primary objectives of the lecture are to provide knowledge and information on the:
• Anti-Child Trafficking in Quezon City;
• Current Situations of Child Trafficking in Quezon City;
• Key Initiatives to Prevent Child Trafficking In Quezon City.
The said activity aims to intensify community awareness on the different forms of trafficking such as child trafficking, child labor and domestic slavery, inform the participants on the importance of child rights on the level of communities, raise awareness and empower the young generations to speak out against human trafficking and to inform the public and highlight the youth perspectives in the fight against human trafficking.
